Quick thoughts on perfectionism, excellence, and strength

Quick thoughts to kickstart my week:

  • Perfectionism gets in the way of achieving our true excellence
    • I am a perfectionist. I used to think it was my greatest strength. I have since learned that it is my biggest hurdle to overcome. Yes, my perfectionism has helped me achieve a lot. But it has held me back from achieving my potential.
  • “Staying strong is a full time job.” -my mom
    • My mom is the strongest person I know. She keeps the entire family strong… constantly. She’s always happy, always smiling, and the kindest, most compassionate person you’ll ever meet. She makes it look so natural, I often forget how hard she works at it.
