Before the end of the year, I wanted my AP Calculus students to leave some tips behind for future students new to the flipped classroom format. Their assignment:
For your final project, please create a VideoScribe presentation giving advice to students new to the “flipped classroom” format. In this video, you should use:
- text to emphasize key points
- images
- voiceover
- background music
This project should look profession, as it will be used to advise future students and their parents. Remember that not everything needs to be drawn using the handwritten animation style. Using the move in animation style might be more effective for certain parts of your presentation.
Enjoy some of their creative tips for success!
I love this idea. I just wrapped up my second year of the flipped classroom and I was looking for unique ideas from others who have flipped. I usually just have my students take an online survey and share advise with future students. Just found your blog and I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts.
