This year, I am mentoring a colleague in my department who is relatively new to teaching and new to my school. We have been given the opportunity to attend Independent Education’s Teacher-Mentor Leadership Institute. We will meet 4 times over the course of the year, each time mentors and mentees for the full day. The day began as full-group, we then split up with mentor specific leadership “training”, and then we had time to work in mentor/mentee pairs.
