You may have seen my post reviewing Creation Crate over the summer – a monthly subscription box to inspire makers. I really enjoyed creating the Mood Lamp that I was challenged to build in that kit.
In this post, I will be talking about another monthly subscription box, Think With Art.

Meet Mr. Toffee, the adorable cat who needs help on his journey.
This box is geared towards children ages 6-10 and teaches critical thinking skills using art. Each month, the box is filled with art supplies to help kids write a new chapter in Mr. Toffee’s adventure. The concept is adorable and the box is so well assembled and packaged!

Unboxing!
In the kit, you receive all supplies necessary to complete the task at hand. The instructions in the book are told in the context of a story. Along the way, you are tasked with design challenges and introduced to new drawing techniques.
In this particular task, kids need to creatively come up with a way to help Mr. Toffee explore the world without traveling on boat, plane, car, etc. So a fun design challenge, within the context of a story, with some instructions on how to learn a new technique. I don’t work with younger students and I don’t have any kids of my own, so I don’t have the honest feedback of a 6-10 year old to share here. But there is a definite mission in this subscription box to teach students creative problem-solving skills. I love the emphasis on art, making, creating, and exploring, all within the context of a fun story!
Full disclosure: I received this box for free in exchange for an unbiased review on my blog.
